Frequently Asked Questions
Is Swiss Crisis really compliant with Swiss data protection law (FADP)?
Yes. Swiss Crisis complies with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), which came into force on September 1, 2023. Your data is hosted exclusively on servers located in Switzerland, with an ISO 27001-certified provider. Encryption is applied both at rest and in transit, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
Does Swiss Crisis work without an Internet connection (offline)?
Yes. With every plan, your documents and contacts remain accessible in the mobile app even without network access. With Continuity and Continuity+, crisis checklists and procedures do too: actions, photos, and comments are stored locally and synchronized automatically as soon as the connection is restored. In a network crisis, Swiss Crisis does not leave you behind.
How difficult is it to create our procedures in Swiss Crisis?
Swiss Crisis is a customizable standard product. You do not build anything. You simply configure your own situations (fire, flood, etc.), your phases (early, moderate, major), and your related actions through an intuitive administration interface. No technical skills required. Swiss Crisis is not a consultant writing your procedures for you. It is the tool that lets you structure, distribute, and trace them in seconds.
Can we test Swiss Crisis before subscribing?
Yes, the Essential and Continuity plans include a 30-day free trial, with no commitment and no credit card required. During the trial you can invite as many users as you like and evaluate every feature of the chosen plan in real conditions. If you are not convinced, you simply cancel before the trial ends.
How does Swiss Crisis compare with paper plans or Excel?
Paper and Excel are fragmented, not traceable, and hard to keep up to date. Swiss Crisis centralizes everything: always up-to-date checklists, timestamped action tracking, evidence (photos, comments), and a PDF report ready for insurers. Without traceability, your file may be challenged or rejected.
Is a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) mandatory in Switzerland?
There is no general obligation for all companies. But some sectors (finance, healthcare, critical infrastructure) are required by specific regulations. Beyond compliance, a BCP is an operational necessity: 40% of SMBs that suffer a major outage without a continuity plan disappear within 5 years (Gartner study via Infologo). Is Swiss Crisis suitable for multi-site organizations?
Yes. Swiss Crisis manages all your sites independently. You can configure distinct locations (for example Vernier, Lausanne, Aigle, Fribourg) with their own teams, procedures, and checklists. In a local crisis, only the relevant collaborators are notified.
Is the app available in multiple languages (French, German, English)?
Yes, Swiss Crisis is available in French, German, and English. Your team can choose its language in the app, and each collaborator can use a different language depending on their needs. For companies active across multiple cantons (French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland), this ensures everyone understands emergency instructions.
How much does Swiss Crisis cost? Are there hidden fees?
Swiss Crisis is billed per user, with no commitment: Essential at CHF 9.90 and Continuity at CHF 19.90 per user per month, or CHF 99 and CHF 199 per user per year with annual billing (2 months free). A minimum of 3 users is billed and the price is capped at 25 users: additional users beyond that cost nothing. Prices include VAT. There are no setup or cancellation fees, and you get a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. Only one extra cost may occasionally apply: if you want a custom connector to automatically sync your data between Swiss Crisis and your internal system (ERP, M-Files, SharePoint, etc.), we charge this one-time development based on a quote. Without this connector, Swiss Crisis remains fully autonomous. All other costs are transparent and included in the subscription.
